[00:00:08.03] – Narrator
Welcome to the Edward Jones Insider Stories. Today, financial advisors, Nick and Alex, will be talking about our technology and other great resources.

I’ll tell you a little bit about my journey to Jones. I knew I wanted to get into an opportunity where I could really help people and make a difference. And the more I learned about the company, I thought to myself, wow, this might be a little too good to be true.

Certainly in the last, I would say decade, even the last few years, our capabilities to be able to service clients that have more complex, more robust needs has really taken off.

What I think about Edward Jones and the ease we bring with our integrated systems. So when I go into the office, I have a single sign-on. And from that single sign-on, I have got integrated systems that are talking to one another. So it’s not a silo of, here’s my risk analysis software, here’s my client relationship management software, here’s my trading platform. Everything is integrated in one. So when they’re sitting in my office or they’re on the Zoom, we’re going through their planning. They’re seeing all of these tools, all of these resources, but we’re going to bring that thread all the way through. So when they get home and they pull up their laptop or they pull out their phone, they’re going to see that same plan, the integration with their mobile app. The integration that they have on the website. They’re starting to see some consistency across the experience.

Edward Jones has accelerated what that tool suite has looked like with an investment over the years of about one and a half billion dollars into things like our Salesforce and Money Guide Pro that have given us the tools that we can share either on Zoom or in person to have the client really be able to experience what their financial goals all look like in one place. I’d also say the digital footprint that clients are able to experience right from their home, being able to look up their online access on their phone, on their computer, and really being able to see the same types of things that we’re experiencing in the office right at their fingertips.

The Client Consultation Group at Edward Jones, this is a resource. It’s one of our core service offerings that’s available to all the advisors at the firm. And this is a group of professionals that provides additional support when you’re working with a high networth client with complex needs. And we talk about the financial advisor being the quarterback in servicing the client. I don’t need to be an expert in all things related to their situation, but I have access to resources that are.

It’s been my experience that Edward Jones has really thought through hands-on training for any type of new rollout and the ability to be able to know exactly what you need and when you need it. There is just a culture of co-creation. We’re collaborating those that are doing the design and the rollout of some technology with those of us that are in the field and being the end user. And so as that is being developed, it’s oftentimes a phased rollout of certain aspects of it, receiving feedback improvement upon it, and then being able to disseminate to the larger group.

And I don’t know about you, but my experience with the technology is, yes, you’ve got Salesforce, you’ve got money guide. But what Edward Jones has done is we’ve taken those tools and we’ve tailored them specifically to how we do business, our client interaction, and our advisor experience in the branch. That type of tailored approach to technology, I think, just enhances our client experience as well.
